The shipment can arrive intact and still be damaged through wet storage, repeated movement or uncontrolled distribution around the site.
Move Accepted Stock Into a Dry Controlled Area
Do not leave ceramic cartons in the unloading zone once receiving checks are complete. Choose an enclosed area away from rain, washdown, wet trades and uncontrolled public access.
Raise cartons on stable pallets or the storage method approved for the package. A dry floor today may become wet when adjacent work begins.
Respect the Carton Orientation and Stack Plan
Use the handling and stacking instructions agreed for the product. Do not create taller stacks simply because the storeroom has space, and do not place dense materials on top of ceramic cartons.
Inspect lower cartons regularly for crushing or moisture. A stable stack can change after individual units are removed from one side.
Reduce the Number of Moves
Every transfer between truck, central store, floor store and bathroom adds handling risk. Plan delivery quantities and internal distribution so cartons move through the fewest practical stages.
Use trolleys and lifting methods appropriate to the carton size. Workers should not carry a bowl by the seat, inlet or fixing openings after unpacking.
Keep Model Identity With the Product
Leave the product in its labeled carton until the installation team is ready, unless inspection procedures require opening it. Loose bowls can quickly lose their model and room assignment.
When a carton must be opened, keep the label and packing components with the item. Record any transfer to a new protective package.
Separate Good, Questionable and Issued Stock
Create visible zones for accepted stock, items awaiting inspection and cartons already issued to installers. Physical separation prevents a damaged unit from returning to available inventory.
Use an issue record by model and destination. This helps the site trace where a shortage occurred and whether spare units were consumed.
Inspect Again at Point of Use
Before installation, check the model, visible ceramic condition, seat, fixings and connection parts against the room schedule. Damage discovered at this stage should be photographed before the product is fitted.
Keep the packaging until the unit is accepted under the site procedure. It protects the product during nearby work and preserves evidence if the condition is questioned.

FAQ
Can ceramic toilet cartons be stored outdoors under a cover?
A secure enclosed dry area is preferable because covers may not control ground moisture, wind, access or repeated handling.
When should the carton be opened?
Follow the receiving and site inspection plan, then keep the product protected and identifiable until installation.
Why track stock issued to each floor?
It helps reconcile shortages, damage and spare use by model and installation zone.
